XMail Forum > XMail Server > Smtp Request Too Late!

Posted by: srudolf May 17 2013, 08:02 PM
Hi, it's me again..

Lately I have had trouble with the response of the SMTP service from our Xmail server. Most of our users (and myself) have complained about the delay of the server to respond to a request for sending email. What might be happening? The POP3 service is working satisfactorily, however the SMTP service is very slow.

Our Xmail server is running upon an Windows 2000 server and the SMTP port used by clients is 587.

I have solved that!!

The CustMapsList variable inside server.tab had a list of three servers and I reduced that to two servers. Now the SMTP delay is shorter than before.
