i have installed xmail and it successfully delivering mail on my local network. i'm tryng to install sqwebmail which is need xmail uid in its configuration.
when i open "/etc/passwd" thru vim, i don't see any 'xmail' on username. [IMG]http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/9214/clipboard05a.jpg[/IMG] pic should i add xmail on passwd file ? or xmail is in one of those ? i'm newbie on linux. i've searched google for this issue but can't find one. |

By default, XMail on Linux runs as root => uid 0.
It's possible to run it under another username if needed, but if you didn't change anything, then it probably uses root. You can always check using "ps" command. |
