I'm trying to use the ctrlclnt.exe program to run commands, but I must be doing something terribly wrong. I was testing the waters with a simple userlist command figuring it would spit the list back out to me or at least give me an error if I did something wrong. However, I simply got a hanging command prompt, so I had to Ctrl+C to get the darn thing to break. Here's what I'm typing:

C:Mailrootin>ctrlclnt -s myDomain.com -u myAdminName -p myPassword[tab]userlist[tab]myDomain.com

Where:
myDomain = the actual name of the domain
myAdminName = the actual admin name
myPassword = the actual password
[tab] = a tab space

Am I off my rocker or what? Any help is appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

Jack Briggs

Do you eventually get a timeout error? How long do you wait?

Yes, it times out after a few minutes if I wait.

Are you sure the xmail server is running and that the correct port number etc are set?
