Hi,

I'm developing a webapplication in Microsoft .Net 1.1. My hosting provider uses Xmail for sending and receiving mail.

When I create a MailMessage using System.Web.Mail and add, for instance, a Word or Excel attachement to the message the mail is send (and recieved) correctly. But when I attach a PDF file to the message a 0Kb file is received in the mail client.

Does anybody what the problem is and how it can be solved?

Thx,
Dennieku

P.s. the hoster runs a Windows 2000 server with Xmail 1.24

This is not an Xmail problem, but infact your scripting language/webhost problem. (They might have a PDF blocking script running.) Try to send a PDF attachment threw a normal email message and see if it goes threw.

Thanks for your answer.

When I send the same message using the Xmail web interface (Xmail-WAI) the PDF attachment is received correctly.
When I send the same messgae using .Net, but through the Microsoft SMTP server (on the same server), the PDF attachment is also received correclty.

It looks like its a problem with the combination of .Net and Xmail!
But... now I've installed Xmail on my local machine for testing and the PDF attachment is also received correctly.

It gets more and more confusing to me.

Anyone got any ideas???

Thx,
Dennieku
