XMail Forum > XMail Server > recipient rejected

Newbie: Can send mail locally but valid external addresses get rejected.

This is probably a simple sendmail problem, but as indicated in the following message server rejects external address (my isp addr). dns root set to sentex.net, resolve.conf has nameserver entry for sentex server.

Any help would be appreciated.

Errmsg:
The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'jmh@sentex.net'. Subject 'email test', Account: 'John Hemingway', Server: '192.168.1.4', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.7.1 <jmh@sentex.net>... Relaying denied', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

You don't have to change "dnsroots".
For what I can see here, Your ISP if blocking You to relay.
