XMail Forum > Documentation and Knowledge Base > Kill Messages After Repeated Failures? |

I am having a "spam resend" problem where spammers try to use my XMail installation to relay, XMail cannot resolve the BS SMTP address, so XMail does a resend, fails, stores, retries later, fails, etc. This resulted in over 100,000 "stuck" emails after a year. This is a testament to XMail's strength because the server never really bogged down. However, I would like to set it to just stop trying to resend after 12 hours and delete the email. What Registry (I am running v1.24 on Win2003) setting should I set to make that happen? Thanks. |

E.g. -Qt 460 -Qi 24 -Qr 12 In server.tab set RemoveSpoolErrors to 1. Use zinc.pl to calc your delivery cycles: http://xmailserver.org/zinc.pl Perl for Windows can be found here: http://activestate.com/Products/activeperl/features.plex |
