Hehehe ... I'm shure that all this is needed. But this voting should result in a priority list.

It's difficult to choose. blink.gif

If there was a nice 'various statistics'-option that would be my first choise. sleep.gif

Btw, what are your ideas on 'Script generator for non-programmer'? How would such a thing work?

- Formulating actions in real language, like e.g. Outlook's filter generator.
- Assembling actions together by drag'n drop or a wizard styled dialog.
- Managing all filter relevant .tab files with a visual interface.
- Controlling the messages content and the filter's return codes in a debugger like inteface.
- Open architecture with plugin actions.

E.g. for a batch of actions:

If incoming mail is for user fred@domain.com then save its attachment to c:\attachments\fred.
Remove attachment.
Notify admin@domain.com with this text.

In this example, the undelined passages are hyperlinks, which can be changed by a click.

The generated code can be used instantly or it can be modifed by further manual programming. So this would provide a solution for non programmers and rapid filter development for coders.

Nice idea - isn't it ? cool.gif

Since I'm used to good ol' version 1.9, I don't know if this has been added, but the #1 mostest usfulest thing that I would like to see is some form of Verbose logging for both SMTP and POP3 - including things like which filters were invoked and in what order and where mail came from and went to etc.

Maybe just adding this sort of stuff to the command line output would work - I'm more interested in whats going on with the mail than how many worker threads have started and terminated.

Most people, like myself, like to just look instead of registering as a user to post or vote in polls. I eventually got around to registering as a user.

As I patiently wait for IMAP, I want to vote for better support for local accounts. I use maildirs and Courier-IMAP. I have a PAM authentication script I wrote, but SMTP doesn't support external authentication. It would be nice to have support for local users as a flag in server.tab which would use ~/.maildir (or whatever) for users in the default domain. Perhaps that's just me. I imagine when XMail supports IMAP internally, all my hacking will go out the window, which would be fine with me.

I'm only commenting here because I thought it was relevant and there wasn't a vote option for it. unsure.gif
