Need help.

Got this error message as part of message log file:

ErrCode = -81
ErrString = [MAIL FROM:] not permitted by remote SMTP server
ErrInfo = 553 5.3.0 <mail@localhost>... No such user here

This only happens after sending email to other domains like Yahoo using UebiMiau. Sending email to local domain is ok using UebiMiau.

Emails are sent fine to local and other domains using mail clients like Outlook.

Installed Xmail 1.22 in Suse 10.

TIA.

Starion

How did you configure Uebimiau to send mail: smtp or sendmail?

mail@localhost is not valid email address.

Are you on dynamic IP range? if yes, then use forward all outgoing mail to your isp's smtp server.

Use smtp option for sending mail.

About IP, you can have static one and still be on dynamic IP range. I have this situation so all my mail is forward to my isp's smtp server.

I set Uebimiau mailer type = "smtp" and default SMTP IP to my mail server which is the local machine and it worked.

Mailer type set to sendmail and mail (php mail) won't work.

Thanks.
