Hi,

When an email is sent from our Xmail server to a Gmail account the following error occurs:
550 5.7.1 Unauthenticated email is not accepted from this domain. 10si47227eyd.59

Does anybody know how I can solve this problem?

Thx,
Dennieku

Hello,

GMail requires authentication when sending emails through their smtp server:

1) setup "server.tab": "DefaultSMTPGateways" "smtp.gmail.com:587,NeedTLS=2;"

2) setup "userauth\smtp\smtp.gmail.com.tab": "plain" "username@gmail.com" "password"

I have not setup "smtpfwd.tab" and "smtpgw.tab". This setup works for me.

Keep in mind that if you want to send email through gmail's smtp server with a different username, for example "xyz@yahoo.com", you will need to add "xyz@yahoo.com" to your account in gmail. but you still authenticate to the gmail smtp server with your gmail account.

Please let me know if I can be of more help.

chok dee (good luck in thai)

Is your ip address and/or your isp maybe blacklisted?

How does one find out? Maybe here:

Now - I hope this is sort of an answer to your question. blush.gif

Update:

I just searched Google with:

"Unauthenticated email is not accepted from this domain" gmail

and it returned some interesting and possibly useful results. I'll keep looking ...

Thanks for your replies. The IP address of my mail server is not black listed!
The problem only occurs when forwarding is enabled for an email account on Xmail and when the forwarding email address is a Gmail account. I found this on the internet: http://groups.google.com/group/Gmail-Help-...e08a7a7b0a7bede.

It looks like my problem, but how can I solve it?

Thx,
Dennieku

Sorry for the delay - I was away from my computer for a few days.

I found this one:

http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/gmai...9a98989cb&hl=en

Could it be that your xmail server has forwarded many (too many) emails to this gmail account and gmail has (hopefully temporarily) blocked your xmail server.

From reading the above post, maybe disabling forwarding from your xmail server to this gmail account for a few days could possibly help. Worth a try, I'd say.

Quote from above post/link:
I disabled forwarding for a few days, and then re-enabled it... I have no problems receiving messages now.
