Strange things are happening. Starting a few weeks ago, Xmail is behaving weird "in some cases." I have one case to reproduce the error 100%.

Participants: AOL Outlook 2007, Xmail, Outlook 2007

This is happening: The sender is a customer of Alice/AOL in germany. He sendt me some email through the AOL email server. XMail accepts the mail and delivers it right into my inbox (Outlook 2007). When trying to answer this email and sending it back to the sender, Outlook immediately generates an error message with 550 Relay denied (in german, so the error originates from Outlook and not Xmail).

Local deliveries are fine. But any attempt to reply to this email immediately results in this 550 Relay Denied.

I have tried to configure Xmail for SMTP-after-POP3 to absolutely make sure the relay is open, but to no avail. As said, local delivery works. Forwarding to some external email addy doesn't.

Ever heared of such a problem? Could it be some Outlook problem?

After two days trying to fix this I'm pretty stomped
