When I telnet to the server and type:
HELO MIKE

The server responds with:
451 Requested action aborted: (-105) local error in processing

What could I do to resolve this?

Regards,
Mike Glaser

your problem guys is the way you're editing your server.tab,
first, I recommend edit it by hand,
now, if you are editing this file with edit in a dos prompt (something like, edit server.tab), and you're seting all the variables you need, and you are saving the file normally then you are wrong

why?

because, edit converts the tabs [TAB] to spaces, so your configuration file is incorrect, what you should do is open it in binary mode with edit (something like: edit /70 server.tab), you will see something like this

"variable" "value"(strange chars for CR and LF)"variable" "value"(strange chars for CR and LF)... etc

well the spaces between "variable" and "value" are wrong it should appear a tab character (something like a little circle) between them instead, so delete those spaces and replace'em by pressing the tab key (this will put a tab char there)

do that for all of the variables you're using

if you still having trouble or require further instructions contact me at fgzz@t35.com
