XMail Forum > XMail Queue Manager > Installing Queue Manager On Windows 2012 R2

Posted by: Nixytech May 28 2014, 09:46 AM
Hi,

I'm after instructions on installing xMail Queue Manager on Windows 2012 R2.

Basically:

1) Can it run on 2012 R2 and
2) What is needed/steps to install.

We know we will have messages queued for delivery so Queue Manager will do the job. The server will be a relay server for out internal app servers to send mail out to clients (We will only be sending emails not receiving emails to that server) so is there any other components needed to achieve this and if so can we have information on them for 2012 R2 too?

Its a big request so thank you in advance for this.

Regards

Paul

Sorry for the delay - I was not able to check the forum for a long time.

XQM was never tested on 2012 R2, but it should run as long as you install it as a 32 Bit application. If it fails, try to run it in XP or Win7 compatibility mode.
