The prob only occured when you used a forced mailroot or when your MAIL_ROOT environment variable was not visible in the Agent's context (e.g. if you use RedHat). Starting and restarting the server is now done the save way via XMail's startscript.

This requires the full path to your startscript in /etc/xqmagent.xonf
E.g. STARTSCRIPT=/etc/rc.d/init.d/xmail

A fixed XQM version will follow.
