Hi all,
I've a strange problem: if I try to send an email to a target that have 2 mx server and his first (minor number priority) is down, xmail doesn't try to send mail to the second one. For example: target: info@domain.com dns: mx 10 mail1.domain.com mx 20 mail2.domain.com if mail1.domain.com is down I receive the postmaster message "Error sending message", with: ErrCode = -5 ErrString = Timeout error SMTP-Error = "417 Temporary delivery error" I verified DNS lookup, dns cache in /MAIL_ROOT/dnscache/mx, tried to telnet manually the second server (mail2.domain.com in example)... all is ok, simply seems that xmail doesn't try to connect other the first. I've tried with 1.25 and now with afterlogic 3.3.1 (xmail 1.25 based)... always the same problem... I'm using Centos 5 in a VM environment. Someone had any ideas about that? |
