Hi I have been using the spamassasin filter SAFILTER V1.3 it has worked for a fair while whith no problems but since I upgraded to XMAIL 1.21 it stopped working??

I tried to go back to XMAIL 1.20 but the filter still does not work....

It does not even right a log file in the logs folder, the filter and the locations are in the right place. Is there any way you can debug XMAIL to see if its able to load the filter and or test to se if maybe the filter is not able to communicate with Spam Assassin??

Any help is appreciated!!

Hi cablegirl

U running Xmail on Win32?

for Win32:
Stop Xmail. To run Xmail in debug mode go to
c:\mailroot\bin
and start xmail with this cmd line
Xmail --debug -Md

There you will see if the filter fires or not.

Okay I removed everything from my system related to xmail and spamassassin and reinstalled it all again.... It works I know get the logs written to the logs folder but it is not filtering anything as spam I have used this in my spamassassin config file to test

blacklist_from *@gmail.com

When I send an email from that domain it says in the log "NOT SPAM"

If I have black listed the domain and it is not filtering it as spam what could that be??

It is spamassassin 3 on Linux Fedora...

Exactly the same as before no change??? How do you tell if the filter is loading out of that?

It si writing to the logs directory but everything is treated as non spam even black listed!!

This is real-time output so you need to send a message or wait untill one arrive to your server. Then you'll see the output.

Okay I got it to run again I reinstalled Fedora and then installed XMAIL 1.21 and no upgrade...

I guess when I upgraded the RPM I must have broken something?
