XMail Forum > Documentation and Knowledge Base > Dnscache Problem

Posted by: Digdug Oct 31 2007, 05:49 PM
I'm running XMail on a Windows 2003 Server machine,
Xmail automaticly creates the DNSCache folder and all relating files under it.
I wanted to remove the cache folder so XMail can build a new one.

I now have one file called "NUL.COM" which cannot be deleted, moved or renamed.
It's the only one left. I know NUL is not allowed in Windows, so thats the problem.

How can I remove the file and be sure it's not created again?

RD does not work nor DELETE

Thanx.

Just for the record the syntax is:

RD \\.\C:\Mailroot\dnscache /s

to remove the DNS cache directorty completly
