I hope XMail is a solution. My ISP (cable) does not allow me to set emails with "other" return addresses. I don't use the ISP assigned email address. I use the from my domain/pop hosting service. I am hoping that I can use XMail as my smpt server - bypassing my cable ISP smtp server. I hope to still use Eudora as my client with XMail as my local smtp server.
Is this possible? Christopher R. Jones EnerSys Analytics Inc. |

Should work just the way you want. Just make sure you don't use your ISP as an SMTP gateway in the server.tab file.

I have installed XMail and started the service. I read the "manual" but I have to clue how to set up XMail to be the smpt server and how to set Eudora to use it? I would really appreciate some pointers on editing the server.tab, etc.
