Hello, About 2 months ago, hschneider helped me to set up a LAN Xmail server. It was working fine until 2 days ago, when my client Outlook Express returns the following error (no changes have been made to the settings of the server): The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'dan@mondo.net'........Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for dan@mondo.net', Port:25.......... Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79 Please give me an opinion of what is wrong. Thank you. |

Maybe the mondo.net server has blacklisted you. Any details in the undelivered message's SLOG ? |

No... no blacklist. It is an intranet and I am the administrator. Outlook express can check for new messages (can receive mail) but cannot send mail. This is the problem. Can you help me? |

Oh, and I forgot to mention: when I use Query from XMail Queue Manager, there is no message returned, the screen remains blank. |

mondo.net is not an intranet: telnet mondo.net 25 Trying 207.139.87.11... Connected to mondo.net. Escape character is '^]'. 220 X1 NT-ESMTP Server www.mondo.net (IMail 4.07 95501-1) This is your recipient server and it does not allow you to relay. Are you the admin of exactly this machine ? |
