XMail Forum > XMail Queue Manager > Xmail Queue Manager 1.36 And Xqmagent 1.25

Posted by: TDItje Jul 16 2003, 11:56 AM
If I'm running XMail Queue Manager 1.27 and the xqmagent build 14-05-03 than all works great.

But if I install XMail Queue Manager 1.36 the Queue Manager say's "No agent found. Please check the configuration!".

I use the same IP adres (192.168.1.251) and the same port (8000) for both Managers.

Next problem ;-)

If I start xqmagent 1.25 in the debugmode I get the next result:
/var/MailRoot

ERROR:
Unable to create agent!
Make sure, you use the correct IP and port in '/etc/xqmagent.conf' ...
The agent did not start ...

There is no problem with the /etc/xqmagent.conf because if I start the old version the agent start perfectly.

Basically all I want is to use the newest version !!! what could be wrong ???

I'm running xmail on FreeBSD and XMail Qeueu Manager on a Windows 2000 machine.

Thanx,

Thanks for the feedback -- please testdrive Agent 1.26 http://marketmix.com/preview/xqmagent_freebsd.tgz on your system and let me know the results. Do a reboot before install to free occupied ports. Make sure that XQM and its Agent use the same port.

I just love a testdrive !!!! cool.gif

It works now, if I find any other bug / undocumented features I'll let you know (there are no messages in my queue so I cant tell you right now).

Thanx

I had the same problem when using the latest XQM with an older agent. Once I upgraded the agents running on the server it worked fine.

Only pending mails are displayed. If the mail was delivered, it is stored on the recipient's box, not in the queue. Also keep in mind, that this is no realtime monitoring. It only takes a snapshot when you press the queue button.
