Hi, the update look good. But 3 things to check: 1. When I edit a message, "Edited by ..." is added. This was supressed for admins in the last version. 2. When I add a reply or try to send a personal mail, I get: Echec ! Errors : You've reached your maximum daily quota : 150 Mail Error! Could not sent the email Failed at 'mail' command .. but the reply is added correctly. Any idea where to change the quotas ? 3. Tracking a forum seems not to work. Maybe there is a prob with the SMTP-settings for sending mails to the user's extenal accounts ... |

These error are sent by the host: Lycos. Seems that not more than 150 email a day can be sent |

Hmmm .. the postings to the forum are no eMails. They are write accesses to the mySQL db. I'm very busy but I don't think that it were 150 posts today .... These probs did not appear with the prev. version of the board, even on days I used it more frequently. It could be possible, that this is the complete count of all users, when they use the "track topic" option. Then the board tries to mail a reminder on new entries to the users. This would also be the cause of not getting these reminders on my extenal account. If such a quota existst on Lycos, we should disable the "Subscribe to Topic" etc. functions. Otherwie this err causes a lot of confusion ... OK .. I'm offline now ... bye! |

Harald, I looked into the possibility to send mail through a "remote" mail server with no luck; Lycos disabled socket functions in PHP. I think that we had this quota problem saturday because of a mass-mailing of you? Lycos counts every recipient as 1 mail and not a mail with multiple recipients as 1. I'm looking for other options to overcome this little problem, even payed hosting. |

I think we can live with it. Mass mailings to all users are no necessity ... |
