Not only was it closed but I alowed 5 mins between closing it and uninstalling it to make sure it is really closed. I didnt restart the server between uninstalling and reinstall as its not possible for me to do this on our production mail server.

Here is the full list. This is from uninstalling 1.23. Its the same as all previous versions.
C:\Program Files\XMail Queue Manager _socket.pyd _sre.pyd _winreg.pyd pyexpat.pyd PyWinTypes21.dll win32api.pyd win32service.pyd wxPython.htmlc.pyd xmlparse.dll xmltok.dll zlib.pyd I think it might be a good idea to rename the setup.exe file to something more descriptive like xmailqm.exe. |

Meanwhile, there were some changes in the installer. Please
- uninstall - delete the complete "Xmail Queue Manager" folder manually - install again - uninstall again Are there still some files left ? The files you listed are temporarily unpacked when you click xqmwin.exe. When you close it, they are deleted. They can only stay alive, when the app crashes. When you start and close XQM again, they should be deleted again. Setup.exe will be renamed  -------------------- Bye,

Uinstalled. Deleted folder and files. Reinstalled. Uninstalled it again. Same 11 files left over. I dont suppose it could be because I am using it through Terminal Services?

Thanks, the latest update did it. I will keep an eye out for any more.
Any chance you can get the program to remember the width of columns? Its just anoying to resize it because some muppet sends an email with a massive subject line. Thanks, Bhozar |

Hi, I'm testing the last version with Windows GUI and Linux Agent and I find the Agent to be very slow and memory consuming. The server is a Linux with kernel 2.2.18, Pentium Pro with 128MB and the GUI is in a Win98 AMD 550Mhz with 128MB IBM Aptiva.
After the first connection to the server it takes about four or five minutes after the GUI shows all queued messages, and when I clicked the Inspector button, I waited about 10mins and the I kill the agent because it was consuming to much memory and many other processes become to be swapped. Is this normal at the first execution or is it always like this? Can something be done to use less memory? I've 25 users and 5 mailing list and the server is handling about 300mails per day. Another question: why do I need openssl to run the agent? Cheers, Leonardo |

Thanks for the feedback. I look forward to limit the number of threads that are spawned by the agent to a user defined value. This will save resources on slower machines. Openssl is needed by the Remote Procedure Call Library. I have no influence on this binding. Please tell me how many mails were in the queue, that took 5 minutes ... -------------------- Bye,

I just uninstalled from the console. It removed all files and folders. Looks like it just doesnt remove everything if you are using terminal services.

Yep - indeed this is an issue of M$ Termin Services. There are also problems with .Net Framework and other soft over TS. See
