Hi there again people....
I need some help with XMail Queue Manager 1.08 MailRoot Folder size is 32MB Folder = 5135 Files = 1484 My problem.... If u run XMail Queue Manager 1.08 and Query my Cue..... It does not happen? I waited for over 2 hours but nothing happens!!!?? Why is that? When i Query the que the NOTHING on my server works... I can not browse Sites that is hosted... I can Not FTP or telnet or AnYTHING?? Everything seem to be frozen??? Ok..So i decided to copy my MailRoot folder to my local PC and install Xmailer on my Local system with my Mailroot folder from my server.... I installed XMail Queue Manager 1.08 and ran a Query.... Guess what??? It Ran in under 2 min's! And there are 97 Froxen messages So what now? The Xmail On my server and on Local PC is setup in EXACTLY the same way??? So what now? Why does a message get fronzen? and is there a way to delete them by default if they get frozen? The 1st Frozen message was from 10 Dec 2002 and 2day is the 27th? My Xmail Server runs 100 % It is nice and fast! It is Just XMail Queue Manager 1.08 that does not work there??? XQM uses a SMB connection to access files and folders on the remote machine. This seems to stress you server until it freezes ...
I heard about this issue from a few windows users and I think about another access scheme for the next versions. The cause seems to be the SMB protocol that eats up a lot of CPU resources on Win32 hosts. To avoid freezing, set RemoveSpoolErrors in your server.tab to 1. -------------------- Bye,

I am not using XMail Queue Manager 1.08 Remotely....
I am running it ON the server! -->To avoid freezing, set RemoveSpoolErrors in your server.tab to 1 What will happen if i do this? Will mail loop? Slow my server down? -------------------- ________________________________________________________________________________

My Server Where it is not working on is: P3 800 512 RAM Win 2000 Sever Home PC i tested this on and where it worked in less then 20 seconds was: P3 700 256 RAM Win 2000 Server ???? You got me!!! I did...it is XMail Queue Manager 1.08 that kills my CPU!
I do not run Xmail on port 25 and i thought that was the problem...so i set it to 25 and ran XMail Queue Manager 1.08 again but i still get the same problem.... Strange ... please start it from command line, to see if it outputs some errors. >What will happen if i do this? Will mail loop? Slow my server down? No. The postmaster gets a error message and the mails are deleted from the queue. -------------------- Bye,

- cd directory_of_xqm (SHould "be c:\programs\xmail queue manager") - type xqmwin.exe and hit return ... -------------------- Bye,

Very strange, it's the 1st time, I hea about that.
Howecer, multithreading will be reworked in the next release. Would be nice to get some feedback from you, after it is out. Maybe this prob is solved then ... -------------------- Bye,

Good one.... I got it working ONCE.... I uninstalled that remote thing.... So that Queue Manager is on alone. After that and a reboot i could see the Frozen mail's . I tried to Defrost one.... ( It did not Work...) And ever since it is not working again... Hanging CPU at 100 % the whole time???
