Hi. I'm trying to get xmail running on OpenWRT but I can't send mails to outside of my own domain. As you can see in the title there's soemthing wrong with the DNS. It doesn't matter if I use an external DNS or the one on the openwrt machine, I still get the same error and don't know how to debug this. The dns seems to work perfectly ok with nslookup. Thankful for help,
/Magnus H

Sorry for bothering you all, I solved this myself. Found that dnsmasq doesn't serve mx records by default. Now it works!

Sorry, my mistake again. dnsmasq doesn't answer on ns queries for my domain. Is it possible to make xmail use localhost as ns by default for it's own domain?

I'm getting a bit desperate here. Does anyone know why I get:
SMTP-Error = "Bad format for DNS name record"
all the time? How can I debug it? What do you mean by "DNS name record", is it the A or NS record? Is it the lookup of the receiving SMTP server that fails? HELP!

Finally solved it. Found by looking at the openwrt code that xmail was patched to hard-code it little endian. Which is not very good on a big endian nslu2......
