Heres what I've found,
When a email goes out FROM a mailing list meaning cfranklinx@nomadcf.com => mailinglist@nomadcf.com => USERS@ON.LIST All the emails passing though the the filters are being seen as cfranklin@nomadcf.com => USERS@ON.LIST meaning all the "@@RFROM" "@@FROM" as being replace with the orginal sender address and the mailing list name. So in stead of it looking like this: cfranklinx@nomadcf.com => USERS@ON.LIST it should look like this : mailinglist@nomadcf.com => USERS@ON.LIST This is also true for outside users sendind though the server, except they look (to the filters) as if they are replying email directly to users. And the only indicator I can find to figure out if it's really from a mailing list it to phrase the email and look for the line : Reply-To: mailinglist@nomadcf.com But this only works if the list is set to reply to the list instead of the user. ## HEADER ## [10.20.1.29]:34519;[127.0.0.1]:26;Mon, 28 Dec 2009 13:23:22 -0500 pegasys.cc SA03FFD MAIL FROM: <cfranklin@pegasys.cc> RCPT TO: <cfranklin@nomadcf.com> <<MAIL-DATA>> Reply-To: SomeMailingListTesting@pegasys.cc Received: from www.pegasys.cc ([10.20.1.29]:34519) by pegasys.cc with [XMail 1.22 ESMTP Server] id <SA03FFD> for <SomeMailingListTesting@pegasys.cc> from <cfranklin@pegasys.cc>; Mon, 28 Dec 2009 13:23:22 -0500 Received: from www.pegasys.cc ([10.20.1.29] helo=www.pegasys.cc) by SMTP.Proxy with smtp (2.0.1); 28 Dec 2009 13:23:22 -0500 Received: from 66.93.12.247 by www.pegasys.cc with HTTP; Mon, 28 Dec 2009 13:23:22 -0500 (EST) Message-ID: <3068.66.93.12.247.1262024602.squirrel@www.pegasys.cc> Date: Mon, 28 Dec 2009 13:23:22 -0500 (EST) From: "Chris Franklin" <cfranklin@pegasys.cc> To: SomeMailingListTesting@pegasys.cc MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain;charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit X-Priority: 3 (Normal) Importance: Normal -------------------- |

Okay, so there is this "ListSender" settings/var inside user.tab. That when set to the mailing lists name. Fixes all my issues.
So I guess it just goes to show you no matter how well you "think" you know something OR just how many time you RTFM. You'r always going to miss something. -------------------- |
