Run XQM in 'Remote Mode' and control any client on any platform and use the graphical user interface with your command line only SMTP server!
Just mount the remote filesystem on your machine via "network neighbourhood" / "drive mapping" on NT or smbmount on Linux. Start XQM and enter the drive or UNC-path in the network setup. If you want to use 'Defrost' , 'Server Start' , 'Server Stop' and status queries, you additionally need to install an agent on the remote host. The Agent runs on the remote machine as a service (Win32) or as a daemon (Linux). XQM and its agent communicate via XML RPC (Remote Procedure Call) which runs through any firewall that has HTTP and the agent's port enabled.. Only trusted IPs are served by the agent., remote port and trusted IP list are user defined.
