 The next release of XQM will introduce message analyzing on the fly. That means there is an additional column in the grid view which contains XQM's diagnosis tag for each message. E.g. QUOTA if the message bounced because the user's mailbox was full, RELAY_DENIED if you were not allowed to relay etc. This allows you to quickly view a bulk of frozen messages without digging through the SLOGs by hand. You can also sort and delete by that new attribute. If you are on Win32 platform and if you manage your server locally, you can beta test the latest version. Download at http://xmail.marketmix.com/preview/XQMWin_Install.exe >> Please give some feedback after testing it. I'm especially interested in the SLOG files which are not tagged by the analyzer. Would be nice if you could post'em (just cut&paste from the Inspector). This will help me to build up an accurate recognition library. -------------------- Bye,

I have tried it. I have send a message with an eicar test virus. In diagnosis it didn't write anything however it would be nice to see that this message was denied due to a virus or av script.
In SLOG I have only this regarding to this message:

I assume it bounced from the recipient's SMTP after he received it, because the SLOG logs no Error. XQM has only access to the SLOG files and the entries there ...
Is the bounced message still in your queue ? If it is frozen or resending, the SLOG should have according entries ... -------------------- Bye,

Got another report here, that 1.14 produces SLOGs with PeekTimes only. Can you please post me the bounced message as a textfile? mailto: h_schneider@marketmix.com

SLOGs with PeekTimes only seem to be produced when a filter script freezes the message. If frozen by Xmail, then the SLOG is filled up with additional error informations.
In order to classify the SLOG or the Spoolfile, I need a unique pattern inside them. Pattern scanning is done by regular expressions, which are defined in parse.lib, which you can open with any ASCII editor. Next release will allow to scan the Spoolfile itself for any kind of pattern, e.g. X-Headers produced by Spam Assasin etc ... -------------------- Bye,

Feature Idea:
How about the ability to click the error code in Xqm and it gives a pop up with more infomation and possible causes and solutions to fix them problem. Would be very useful for email server and Xmail novices. |

cool. Now all messages display something. shame you didnt have 1.21 out at the start of last week. The main newsletter went out to 120,000 people. I bet there would have been a few blank ones in there then :-)

Downloaded and installed the new version. Now displays messages for all frozen emails.
I uninstalled the last version of Xqm and deleted all its folders. I had the same problem with hitting flush, I had ot go into the network properyy screen and hit apply. Is there no way to set this up to work without this step? |

Great, much better, flusher now works out of the box.
Did you know that the uninstall doesnt remove all the files? 11 files still exist after removal. |

IMHO this only happens, when you have XQM open during uninstall. Sure it was closed ?
