Spamassassin can be installed on any platform that supports it and talk to Xspamc through TCP/IP. Currently I have tested Spamd running on Windows, Linux RH and Fedora, but there should be no issues with other platforms.

Xspamc filter can rejected messages when they reach a score that can be customized on user/domain basis and optionally saved for backup purposes. If needed, the filter can send customized rejected messages.

Each operation is written to a log file which is rotated every day.

At the moment Xspamc doesn't support the SSL protocol and the randomize host feature, if I see that this features should be of interest I might upgrade the code.

The source code is included with the distribution.

Required software for Xspamc installation:

* Win32 platform
* Xmail Mail Server >= 1.7 - Free open source software: http://www.xmailserver.com

You will also need:

* A working Spamassassin installation with spamd enabled

New in this version:
# Updated for SpamAssassin 3.x compatibility

# Added operation time (sec) to the log
# Check if the host is up and ready to receive the message with 1 sec. timeout. The windows default is controlled by a value in the registry and is usually 20 seconds.
