I have Queue manager installed on windows system and Agent is installed on linux. My Xmail server is on Linux system. When i am trying to connect to the Linux server through XQmanager it is showing that Agent not found although Agent is installed on linux system and configuration for xqmagent.conf is as follows:
(
# XQM Agent Configuration File
#
# If you are on any Linux or FreeBSD platform, copy this file to
# /etc/xqmagent.conf
#
# For Win32 users only:
# This file has to reside in the same folder as your xqmagentwin.exe.
# If you want to run multiple instances of the Agent to handle
# multiple mail queues on the same machine, see README.TXT
# in the Agent's folder for further informations.
#
# Troubles to get this running?`
# Have a look at the XQM support forum at
# http://xmailforum.homelinux.net
#

# How many threads should scan the queue in parallel ?
# THREADS can range between 1 and 25. Since each thread consumes
# system resources and many threads can cause an overhead on startup,
# a value between 2 and 8 is recommened on slow or low-memory machines.
# Remember to restart XQM Agent, when changing this value.
#
THREADS=25

# Your XMail startscript?
# This is only relevant, when you use the Agent on a Non-Windows platform.
#
# On Linux, usually your script is located in /etc/init.d/xmail
# On FreeBSD, usually it should be /usr/local/etc/rc.d/xmail.sh

# Just uncomment the proper line below after you have verified this
# location, by removing the # in front of it.
STARTSCRIPT = /etc/init.d/xmail
#STARTSCRIPT = /usr/local/etc/rc.d/xmail.sh

# Control which MailRoot?
# This overwrites any MAIL_ROOT environment setting.
FORCE_MAILROOT = /var/MailRoot

# Listen to which IP?
# This is the IP or hostname of the machine
# which runs the Agent
AGENT_HOST = 192.168.0.11

# Listen to which port?
AGENT_PORT = 8000

# Set this to 1 , if you manage your host over the internet
# by using an dynamic IP address or a dynamic name service.
# If set to 1, port 80 has to be accessible from the agent's
# machine.
AGENT_DYNIP = 0

# List of trusted client machines,
# seperated by commas, no spaces allowed.
# Valid entries are IP numbers, subnets (e.g. 192.168.0.*)
# and hostnames.
#
TRUSTED_CLIENTS = 192.168.0.*

# IP address (or hostname) and port for CTRL protocol access.
# This is needed for the Queue.flush() function. The first
# account found in ctrlaccounts.tab is used for authentication.
# Make sure that
# - this IP is enabled in ctrl.ipmap.tab,
# - the port is active
# - and that there is at least one valid account
# in your ctrlaccounts.tab
#
CTRL_HOST = 127.0.0.1
CTRL_PORT = 6017
)

How could i get connected to the Linux server?

Disable iptables in order to make sure that your FW is really setup properly. Depending on the platform this can be done with

service iptables stop

After this test again.

Start the Agent in debug mode like described in the INSTALL.txt file. Try to connect and check its debug output.

If connect fails, try to telnet the port:

telnet server_ip 8000
Hit any key and then the Enter key. What do you see ?

I'm offline for a couple of days now. However you should be able to manage things with the steps above. Thanks!
