I just want to know if it is me or xqm.
When I start XQM and click on Query it takes let's say about a minute to complete and display results. After that I click again and it is faster (only 2-3 sec).
I have tried with xpai and there is always fast - few secondns and it is allready there.
Any comment on that?
BTW I ma running xqm agent with 2 threads. I have tried with more but no change in initial speed.

When you start XQM for the 2nd time, large portions of the spool folder are cached by your system's filesystem.

XPAI has only access to the frozen messages which it directly gets from the CTRL interface. XMail knows wich messages are frozen and has no need to read any files therefore. So querying wiht XPAI only needs the time to transfer data from CTRL-Interface to the display.

XQM needs to track down the nested spool structure. It examines and analyzes every file. This is the only way to get infos about sending and resending messages and the SLOG's, since the CTRL protocol does not support this.

I think about combining the best of both methods: getting the frozlist by CTRL and collecting the rest by reading the filesystem. Implementing the file browser in C might also boost things by 20-30%. So let's wait for the future ... :-)
