I do not know if anyone can remember the previous version of Xqm had Lots of Bugs..... For me anyway....
It used to hang my WIN 2000 BOX when i run a Query I am GLAD to say that 1.17 does not do that!!! I ran it a couple of times on different times and days and no hang as yet. The statut thingy with the abort button is also cool...Lets u know it is working at least! I tried the remote agent and tried to connect to my Box from another Win 2000 Pro PC outside the network.... No luck there yet.... Dunno what is up with it.... It just says that NO AGENT is running..... But it is.... ?????????????????????????????????????????????? But all in all a 100 % improvement on the previous release! Thanx  -------------------- ________________________________________________________________________________

Take care, in the client setup you'll have to use IP numbers assigned to TRUSTED_CLIENTS -- no machine names. In this version the Agent does no DNS resolution for his trusted clients.
Furhtermore, if you do remote access outside your LAN, then your IP is masqueraded to the outgoing IP of your router ... so the Agent also has to trust your router ... Add your router's outgoing IP to the TRUSTED_CLIENT's list in that case. Also your firewall has to allow the agent's port (e.g. 8000). -------------------- Bye,

As mentioned before - when XQM and its Agent reside in different subnets, you have to add the router's outgoing interface to the .conf file. E.g.
Client 10.129.1.40 ---> Router_in:10.129.1.1 || Router_out:10.129.0.1 --> Agent 10.129.0.100 In that case use 10.129.0.1 as a trusted client IP, not 10.129.1.40 This will be simplified in one of the next releases, where you can add machine names instead of IP numbers. -------------------- Bye,

One more thing: After changing anything on the agent's .conf file, you'll have to restart the service.

I did restart the service after i added the IP's
