Hi,

do you want to do remote queue management or do you want to use XQM on the same machine like XMail Server?

Has this machine a desktop environment, like e.g. KDE or Gnome ?

What in detail is the problem ?

Qmail? What's qmail? .... :-)

I think that Alexander has made a mistake or wrong forum. If you really mean Qmail mail server then this is not forum for you. You can find help at Qmail

Please try a chmod -755 folder_of_your_xqm_installation.
Write access has to be set for this folder.

Also make sure that you have GTK+ 1.2.6 or later installed.

GTK+ should be part of your Linux distribution - no need to compile. Just have a look at the packages. Which děstribution do you use?

One more trick to try:

cd xqmwin folder
cp libwx_gtkd-2.4.so /usr/libs
./xqmwin

Please let me know, if this works.

Hi,

I have try the method but it still give me the same error. BTW my linux distribution is 7.3.

I suspect maybe i did something wrong when i follow the readme. the below is what i do not understand.

- If not done by your XMail installation:
Set an environment var named MAIL_ROOT to your mailroot path.

Best practice: insert the following line into the first part of (i done undertstand how to set this part)
.xinitrc in your home directory:

export MAIL_ROOT=/var/MailRoot

Since i do not understand how to set the above so i just type:

export MAIL_ROOT=/var/MailRoot

from the the terminal

Thank your for your support

Regards
Alexander

You have to locate the message in its spool folder. Then move it from its "froz" to the "rsnd" sub directory. After that restart xmail.

Please try to install XQM command line version. This one needs no GTK+ lib (but libssl - part of RedHat 7.3).
After that you have access to the SLOG files. See http://marketmix.com/preview/docs/index.html , chapter "Inspector" how to analyze them. They give you detailed information about the problem.

I need the infos from the SLOG files ...

Redhat 7.3 should contain the GTK+ libs for the GUI version of XQM.
Otherwise use XQM/CMD.
