Xmail On Ubuntu 10.4 Install Error .deb

I have Ubuntu 10.4 server x86 and i`m trying to install xmail_1.25-4.1_i386.deb from repository.

i'm running this command:

apt-get install xmail

and i get this error:

ErrCode = -152
ErrString = End of socket stream data
dpkg: error processing xmail (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 4
Errors were encountered while processing:
xmail

any ideas how to solve this problem?
