Newbie Group: Members Posts: 3 Member No.: 1082 Joined: 27-April 04	Well, after looking through smartpost 0.5, my initial impression that it was too good to be true was right. I spent a long time on it, got it working - then found that they dedicated far more time and energy into it than I did - and it doesn't even work in theory! Don't even try getting it to run, if there isnt an error in it in the particular cases you test it in - it locks mailboxes left and right anyway. CourierIMAP and xmail walk all over eachother. If you keep up with the mailing list, you would have seen they had to MOVE the site to http://smartpost.sourceforge.net/index.php Not sure the issues you are having but its worked great ever since first release. Configuration was very easy. Not sure what OS, but works great on Linux. There was a few issues with Courier, but they haev a couple patches out that fix those issues. D

What about the other, how IMAP (smartpost using courier-imapd) doesnt interact correctly with xmail? That is why I stopped using smartpost for the time being - because it is simply not a workable solution from what I've heard in xmail circles. Do the patches measure up? If they do I may migrate back (provided the upgrade scripts work out) I will watch smartpost development, thank you for the link. I will sign up for the mailing list as well, as I didn't have a chance to learn of its existence previously.
