I wrote this filter for users who couldn't use bash scripts.
This filter talked directly to the spamassassin deamon, which so far I've found to be even faster then if you just ran a email though SPAMC.

(The time tests worked out to be 3 to 1. Meaning this script is able to filter 3 emails i n the time it takes spamc to filter 1)

There shouldn't be any need to edit the filter it self, all it's options are set VIA the filters.post-data.tab file. (we'll I guess you would want to edit it if your MAILROOT isn't /var/MailRoot)

This filter as a new option that the bash version doesn't:
1. If SA is down or unavaible, it can send a try again later to the sender server.
2. If there is any error with the script with it trying to interact with any of it's temp files it tells the remote server to resend later.

This script can easily be modified to run on a windows or any system other system that has PHP running on it.

Script can be found at Anti-Spam-PHP

I'm using this filter and it's working great for me. I love seeing Spam:Deleted in the log file.

Just curious, shouldn't line 146 be:

# SA_Socket : open socket to SA
$SA_Socket = fsockopen($SA_host, $SA_port, $err, $errstr);

Currently, it's using hard-coded IP and port:

# SA_Socket : open socket to SA
$SA_Socket = fsockopen('127.0.0.1', 783, $err, $errstr);

This is working for me since I'm on the localhost machine, but thought I'd point this out for other people.
