Hi,

I have coded a filter that checks for a valid email address in MAIL FROM:. It catches messages with badly formed addresses and stops them entering XMail. This means you don't end up with messages stuck in your XMail system with bad FROM addresses that won't be accepted by other mail servers and can't be bounced.

The script is run from filters.pre-data.tab so it can verify the address before the bulk of the message is transmitted. It is written in PHP and is well commented to explain how it should (and should not) be used.

I would like to submit it to the archive at ftp://xmail.homelinux.net/xmail. How do I go about doing this?

Thanks
Jonty

Okay, I've tried uploading 15,909 bytes as a plain file (no extension), as .php, and as .txt. I keep getting:

> The requested file upload failed. This is either because it was not in the correct format,
> or the file size was larger than that allowed. Please check the file you wish to upload and try again.

I'm running Firefox on linux.

What will work?

Thanks
Jonty

Sorry - the upload function seems to be broken. We are checking this currently.
