417 Temporary Delivery Error, Cannot send email to External Domain

I have set up Xmail on my server I have set up 2 domains with Xmail If I send an email from one of these domains to the other it can receive it and vise versa.
If I send an email to my Xmail domain from another outside domain the Xmail domain receives it. However if I send an email from the Xmail domain to an outside domain this outside domain does not receive anything.
Sometimes I receive an error on the postmaster@domain.com (Xmail):

Error=[The maximum number of delivery attempts has been reached]
SMTP-Error = "417 Temporary delivery error"

I have tried changing setting I can think of but with no change I have spent 4 days searching without any luck. Sorry this is my first time at setting up a server can anyone give me any advice on anything I might try to resolve this issue.
