In the documents you need to change a line to this:


- Execute: install XQM_AGENT2 "XQM Agent 2" "c:\programs\xqmagent2\xqmagentwin.exe" auto

You left out a " before c:\ and the . before the exe.

Two instances of the Agent are now running.

Just need a way in XQM to add multiple servers and select them from the list. I suppose this would be fairly easy for remote systems as its just changing the IP address and port for each server.

So far this has made my life much easier.

Date error is also fixed.

I currently have 60k email going out of our secondary email server and its very usefull to see they are in the xmail system. It does take a while to query the remote server though.

Just so you know I thought I should tell you the test system:

Client machine is a 1GHz machine with 256Mb ram.

Server machine running 2 instances of XMail is a P4 2.4ghz with 1Gig ram and Windows 2003 Server.
Other XMail server is Windows 2000 Server on a dual PIII 450mhz with 1Gig ram.

I usualy test all your programs on all the systems I have at my disposal.

I am receiving an error every time I start XQM.

ERROR
XMail root directory not found!
Make sure, that it is set either in your registry or in the enviroment var 'MAIL_ROOT'.

If you want to manwge a remote host,
just enter the proper settings in the folling dialog ...

It then pops up the Config screen where the remote Ip and port number is already specified.

I would guess at the IP and port is specified it shouldnt be popping up. Or it shouldnt be checking for the local XMail root directory in the first place.

OK .. this will be fixed in the release version. A comfortable remote host selection will go in one of the next releases. Thanks for testing!

Slight bug. I opened up the local XQM Interface and queried the remote system. It returned around 1900 frozen messages as I expected. There were about 200 frozen that I needed to defrost. I selected them and hit defrost. The system looked like it was defrosting the messages. After 10 mins the defrosting dialog box still didnt have a cancel button appear on it. I hit the [X] in the top right. the standard windows dialog box stating that the program was no longer responding and would I like to kill it popped up. I killed it.

I then started the local XQM. hit query. It didnt show and buttons on the query box and after a few mins I hit the [X] in the top right. Same windows dialog box popped up. I killed it again.

I went onto the server and restarted the XQMAgent.

I started the local XQM again and everything was working correctly this time. It had defrosted the frozen messages as they were no longer listed and all the other functions looked to be working fine.

Could you please run the Agent in debug mode?
- Stop the service
- Launch 'debug.bat servicename'

Then try to repoduce. The agent should leave a debug output after it died ...

the second link was incorrect. I guessed the correct one. What changed/fixes are in this new version?

There was indeed a bug that caused the Agent to hang ... should be fixed now.

My copy hasnt crashed again yet.

Found a problem. Neither version of XQM is able to flush the remote queue. It says flushing for a while then gives the standard FAILD: No CTRL Access !

Thats working fine now.

I just erased some selected items and the eraser dialog box is stuck on my screen. I can select and move it about and even use it but I cant close it and it doesnt close after erasing.

Do you erase remotely ? Do you have a forced mailroot ?
